W. Ann Pilkington, Attorney

Ann has over 30 years of experience in the legal community of Mecklenburg and Union counties. Ann worked as a Paralegal at several law firms in Charlotte before becoming an Attorney in 2009. Ann’s passion is commercial and residential real estate. She is an N.C. Board Certified Specialist in real estate law. Ann can assist with real estate negotiations, closings, and real estate litigation.

Ann is also experienced in the area of Estate Planning & Estate Probate. Ann can draft Wills, Powers of Attorney, Trusts, and other documents to prepare your estate to pass to your loved ones. Ann can file documentation with the Court to probate and administer the estate of your loved ones and ensure that assets are passed according to a will.

In her free time, Ann enjoys going to the beach with her friends and family, shopping, and volunteering at Pleasant Plains Christian School.

Rachel H. Pilkington, Attorney

Rachel practices in the area of Family Law. Rachel’s passion is helping families navigate the challenges associated with separation and divorce. Rachel can assist with filing for a divorce, distribution of assets, and post-separation support and alimony. Rachel can also help with custody and child support actions, whether in court or negotiating agreements out of court.

Rachel can help to negotiate and draft prenuptial and postnuptial agreements as well.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with and baking goodies for her family.

Samantha Smith, Certified Paralegal

Samantha has almost 10 years of experience as a paralegal. Samantha works mainly in the area of real estate and litigation. Samantha enjoys working with clients to help them through the legal process and get their matters resolved quickly.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys bowling, going on cruises, spending time with her family, and watching football.

Hannah Medina, Receptionist/Legal Assistant

Hannah graduated from Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw, NC in 2016. Hannah has been a Receptionist/Legal Assistant at Pilkington Law for 3 years. Hannah is the first friendly voice you will hear when calling our office and the first friendly face you will see when you arrive at our office. Hannah is happy to assist you in an administrative capacity throughout the entirety of your legal matters.

In her free time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her puppies and working part-time as a hairstylist.

Lynn Pilkington, Title Examiner

Lynn serves many roles at Pilkington Law. Lynn serves the firm in business development, marketing, investigations, and title examinations for both our real estate and family law practices. Lynn is from Lincolnton, NC, and has served as a Title Examiner at Pilkington Law for 10 years.

In his free time, Lynn enjoys spending time with his dogs and his family and playing the guitar. Before coming to work at Pilkington Law full-time, Lynn retired from a career as a Baptist youth minister in Matthews, NC.
